Former San Francisco 49ers quarterback Colin Kaepernick has not played a single game in the NFL since 2016. Under controversial circumstances, he lost his place in the Niners team and could never earn his place back in the team as well as in the NFL. Recently, the 49ers lost their 2 quarterbacks, Trey Lance and Jimmy Garoppolo through season-ending injuries. Interestingly, the Niners fans are asking the management to bring back Kaepernick during these tough times.
Notably, the Niners are currently holding on to the top position in the NFC West division and are most likely to qualify for the playoffs. Earlier this season, they acquired Christian McCaffrey for a great deal and looked all set to challenge for the Super Bowl title. However, Garoppolo’s injury may have hampered their chances.

Niners fans urge the team to sign Colin Kaepernick
On Sunda, against the Miami Dolphins, Garoppolo suffered a foot injury, which practically ended his season with the Niners. They already lost Trey Lance and now, they have only seventh-round draft pick rookie Brock Purdy to handle the quarterback duties.

Although he threw 210 years with 2 touchdown passes in the Niners’ win over the Dolphins, he is still a rookie and it will be tough for him to handle the quarterback duties in the playoffs. Hence, many Niners fans are taking over social media and urging the 49ers’ management to call Kaepernick back.

One fan wrote, “As a football fan I would like to see the 49ers reach out to Colin Kaepernick. that would be a crazy comeback story.”
Meanwhile, another Niners fan thinks that Kaepernick has the ability to run the 49ers’ offense and wants the team to give him a shot again. Interestingly, another fan said, “I would rather take Kap than have Baker (Mayfield).”
It is worth noting that there were plenty of rumors regarding former Panthers quarterback Baker Mayfield joining the Niners team. Earlier, the Panthers waived him off due to his poor performances this season, and he became a free agent. Notably, Mayfield has been performing poorly for the past 2 seasons. So, the Niners acquiring him could backfire on them massively.

On the other hand, fans are showing full support for Kaepernick instead of Mayfield. Notably, Kaepernick has been trying to make a comeback for a while. This off-season, he spent plenty of time with the Raiders. Despite that, no team went after him. Now, it could change, as the Niners fans are backing him to make a comeback in the league and possibly help the Niners win a Super Bowl title.
