Tom Brady is widely considered the GOAT of his sport. And he is definitely the most talented athlete in the Brady family because of his decorated silverware collection. However, Tom Terrific had to pass the baton on to someone in the family. And it’s up to niece Maya Brady now to carry the family name after TB12’s retirement.

The UCLA college softball player recently posted on her Instagram ahead of a Bruins game. And Brady fans, not having their favorite quarterback to root for anymore, flocked to his niece’s support.

The Tampa Bay Buccaneers QB announced his retirement last week in a minute-long video marking the end of a 23-year career in the NFL. And Tom isn’t the only one in the family Maya has to worry about. Her mother, Maureen Brady, was an All-American pitcher for Fresno State. And she is also the niece of former MLB player Kevin Youkilis.

Brady confirmed that this retirement will not be a repeat of what happened last year when he came out of his first retirement after 40 days in February 2022. However, when Colin Cowherd asked him if there was even a 1% chance of a return, Brady didn’t say no. The seven-time Super Bowl champion is just happy with his present decision and wants to make no future calls at the moment.

The other big sign giving Brady fans some hope of a return is TB12’s decision to not join the Fox Sports desk until the fall of 2024. Brady said he wanted to be ready for the $375 million 10-year job when he joins Kevin Burkhardt. However, fans suspected something fishier.
