The New Orleans Saints went 4-2 this season after defeating Seattle Seahawks in a close encounter on Monday. The Seahawks lost by 10-13 in the Lumen Field, making them 2-5 this season. And now with three straight losses for the Seahawks, they occupy the last spot in the NFC West Conference way below the Cardinals.

And now as Geno Smith fails to produce desirable results for the team, the whole burden will fall on the shoulders of Russell Wilson when he gets back from his finger injury. The Saints, on the other hand, have marched past the Seahawks as they stand right below the Buccaneers to occupy second place in the NFC South.

Seattle Seahawks failed to score in the final drive

The game took a turn when Jameis Winston led the Saints offense for a 42-yard drive helping his team score a field goal for three points late in the fourth quarter. Geno Smith, however, failed to carry his offense down the field as the Saints were able to sack him twice during that final drive.

Fans of both teams were at the edge of their seats, but finally, the Saints emerged victoriously. Later on, people took to Twitter to express their agony or pleasure towards their respective teams.

New Orleans Saints owned the last moments

However, in the battle of the QBs, Winston finished 19 of 35 pass attempts covering 222 yards with one TD and zero INTs. While Smith finished 12 of 22 pass attempts covering 167 yards with one TD and zero INTs.
