Aaron Rodgers is among the best quarterbacks to ever play the game. If a quarterback’s greatness was only measured by how talented he was, then Rodgers might have been the best player ever.
However, despite being so talented at the game, Aaron Rodgers was very close to quitting football. When he was in school, Rodgers didn’t receive any good offers. As a result, he could have gone on to become a lawyer instead.

Recently, Rodgers on a podcast revealed what helped him to continue playing football and pursuing his lifelong dream. He said, “When I think about there was like one day that kind, of course, corrected everything, it was in February of 2002 And the baseball coach who had been my JV football coach had been kind of prodding me to maybe come out and play baseball and pitch and I hadn’t played since Eighth Grade…”

Rodgers added, “That one day I think changed my kind of turn back on my competitive fire really I came out of the winter had no offers Uh and really know what I was gonna do… playing baseball that spring really kind of gave me my competitive fire back and then I played this all-star football game that summer. “
Rodgers continued and said, “I say all-star very lightly because it was Northern California kind of North-South there were only a few of us from that game who kind of went on to play in College um but that kind of gave me my fire back I went to junior college at butte had a fantastic time still very close with my coaches there and then the rest is kind of history…”
If not for that moment, Rodgers might have not continued playing football, and that would have been very disappointing.
