Spectacular is the standard we have come to expect from Patrick Mahomes. The gun-slinging quarterback is never behind in the race for being the ‘it player’ in the NFL for long. And being hailed as a one in million, talent is nothing new for the star. After his special game-winning performance against the Tennessee Titans, NFL legend Shannon Sharpe has nothing but praise for the superstar. Who, according to the retired TE, should be considered a favorite going further into this season’s MVP race.

After witnessing the resilient performance of the Chiefs’ quarterback this Sunday, Sharpe was out of words to express the impact that Mahomes has over their game against the Titans. As per the Hall of Famer, the Chiefs simply won a game they were not supposed to. While the match closed out with a score of 20-17 in favor of the home side, the legend solely praised Mahomes for his heroic outing as QB this past Sunday. “He found a way to somehow win a game they probably shouldn’t have won,” added Sharpe.

While discussing the MVP race on his show UNDISPUTED with co-host Skip Bayless, Sharpe gave the 27-year-old quarterback a nod ahead of Jalen Hurts this season. Even though the Eagles are still undefeated after 9 weeks of the NFL, the Chief’s no.15 is having a killer season himself. Although, his team is not the clear favorite for a ring this year. The former NFL TE was also impressed with how much the QB was under pressure, but he still fought to find a win for his team.
