Tom Brady and the Tampa Bay Buccaneers gave their fans some well-earned reprieve by managing to scrape through and win against the Los Angeles Rams. The Bucs ended their 3-game losing streak. A touchdown in the last few seconds of the game was their savior.

Narrowly avoiding a fourth consecutive loss, Brady’s last-minute drive led the Buccaneers to victory. While this was a cause for celebration, analysts say otherwise.

This time around, Brady had his entire offensive line backing him up. Unfortunately, the Bucs’ offense did not provide as much as it could have, resulting in Beady having to target rookie Cade Otton for a last-minute drive.

Skip Bayless goes on a rant about Tom Brady’s wide receivers

Analyst Skip Bayless had a lot to say about the Bucs’ wide receivers. Bayless provided a list of things that went wrong with the Bucs’ offense with regard to Mike Evans, Chris Godwin, and Julio Jones.

Speaking of Mike Evans and the other receivers’ slippery hands, he said, “…and by the way ladies and gentlemen would you believe that Tom Brady’s receivers dropped eight passes yesterday, eight passes!”

Wide receiver Chris Godwin has been working on making a full return after a serious injury last season. While speaking about Godwin’s performance, Bayless was not happy.

The analyst stated that Godwin hasn’t been able to bounce back from a complete rebuild of his ACL. “He’s just looking like [sic] running in Cabo,” he quipped.

Bayless also spoke about Julio Jones. While it sounded like there was something positive to say about the receiver, the analyst had more criticism to offer.

“I used to love Julio Jones, Tom used to love Julio Jones, I thought he was going to be the new secret sauce, the new deep-speed receiver- he’s just not the same guy and to your credit, you called this,” he added while speaking to fellow Undisputed co-host Shannon Sharpe

Does Tom Brady trust Otton Cade?

Otton Cade was the Bucs’ unexpected knight in shining armor. The rookie caught his first touchdown from a last-minute drive from Brady. While Bayless thinks that Otton has got potential, he believes that the tight end does not compare to Brady’s former, more accomplished teammate.

…Cade Otton who’s got some potential, but he’s not exactly Rob Gronkowski,” Bayless said. But in all fairness, who is? While Otton did look like Brady’s favorite target in the fourth quarter, was that caused by the lack of other options?

The seven-time Super Bowl champion added another record to his illustrious career. Becoming the first player in the league’s history to cross 100,000 passing yards, fans were relieved to see a glimpse of the glory days.
