The Kansas City Chiefs and the Las Vegas Raiders clashed in what was a thrilling encounter on Monday night. Filled with exciting plays and controversies, the Chiefs won by just 1 point: the slimmest of margins. But apart from the controversial calls made on the field by the referees, another quarrel seems to have caught the public eye. And it involves the Raiders’ wide receiver, Davante Adams.

After the game ended, Adams was making his way to the locker room, when suddenly, the cameras show him shoving a stadium worker out of his way, sending him crashing to the ground. The receiver then walked away and did not turn back to at all. Different angles of the incident paint unique pictures. While one angle suggests the worker was already in place and Adams just walked into him, another shows the worker running right in front of the athlete, and he reacted to a sudden encroachment of his space.

Notwithstanding the circumstances, Adams did eventually apologize for pushing the man. Although, not to him directly. Adams first used his post-game interview to apologize, saying it was his “frustration” that caused such an untoward response.

Later, Adams took to Twitter to apologize to the man, saying that he “felt horrible immediately”. His response split fans on his feed, and while some sympathized with him, others outright disagreed with his initial actions and his apology methods.

Davante Adams had an incredible game on Monday, with 3 receptions for 124 yards and 2 touchdowns. And before the Raiders‘ receiver crashed into the stadium worker, he had his own on-field crash as he and Hunter Renfrow came together while running routes in the 4th quarter, on 4th down. Clearly frustrating the former Green Bay Packers’ man, as he slams his helmet onto the ground shortly after the game ended.

On the other hand, Patrick Mahomes and the Chiefs‘ offense had a good game, with Mahomes connecting with Travis Kelce for all 4 of their touchdowns of the night. Setting a franchise record, and a single game receiving record for “Monday Night Football”. Mahomes also threw 29 passes for 292 yards and rushed for 28. The Chiefs are now 4-1 and will face AFC East’s Buffalo Bills (4-1) next Monday.
