The San Francisco 49ers have had an absolutely amazing season. They are on top of the NFC West and have had a mind-blowing 7 game-win streak going. One of the biggest reasons for this streak is the young rookie quarterback Brock Purdy. Purdy stepped in when Jimmy G and Johnson were both out of commission and since then he has sent the field on fire.

He has pulled off some big moves with winning touchdown passes to absolutely smoking Brady and the Bucs. And now with the playoffs nearby, Mr. Irrelevant has the biggest stage of his life to prove his worth. Recently in an interview, the young QB had some dichotomous words. While the QB made some tall claims for the 49ers, he also expressed humility for his own skills in comparison to some of the well-established QBs in the league.

The young QB spoke about being humble off the field and confident on the field. He spoke about the particular skillset on the field that makes him so elusive to defenders. He also admitted to not having certain skills and humbly said, “I’m not a dual threat guy like Lamar Jackson and have that kind of speed, but just being able to escape the pocket and sort of create plays outside of the rhythm or timing of the play – I’ve always been able to do that.” via Niners Nation.
