The NFL’s quarterback market hit the zenith this year. Despite initial interest in WRs, the QBs became a sensation after getting extravagant deals that heightened their annual salary. However, for someone whose average salary rank fell, the heightened boom does not bother him. Chiefs QB Patrick Mahomes is not upset about the recent QB salary hike.

The QB salary rocket took off with controversial QB Deshaun Watson with an average of $46 Million. Then Aaron Rodgers signed an extension, allowing a $50 Million average in his pockets. Recently, Kyler Murray locked his deal with the Arizona Cardinals. He will now receive an average annual of $46.1 million. Patrick Mahomes is at number four with $45 million.

Mahomes mentions via ChiefsWire, “When I signed my deal, I knew I was going to be pretty set for life regardless of what the market kind of happens. But you just keep playing. Money is one thing, but when you get those Super Bowl rings. At the end of your career, I think that’s going to be what you look back upon. I think I’ve made enough money from the football field and then obviously off of it as well, that it won’t matter at the end of the day.”
