The Buffalo Bills and the Cincinnati Bengals game witnessed tragic scenes on Monday Night Football. Quarterbacks Joe Burrow and Josh Allen were supposed to go down fighting in an epic pre-playoff duel. However, the scenes towards the end were very different. And it only entailed brotherhood and solidarity after the unfortunate Damar Hamlin incident.

24-year-old Bills’ safety Damar Hamlin collapsed on the field after a collision with Bengals wide receiver Tee Higgins. Higgins was in tears after the calamity, as medical representatives flooded the field. Hamlin received CPR for 8 minutes before transferring to the University of Cincinnati Medical Center, where he remains in critical condition.

Joe Burrow showed his true class after the NFL finally suspended the game after over an hour. Yes, the league faced quite some heat for that. However, while in the locker room, Burrow had a meeting with the team captains. And there, he decided that it was not the time to think about football and rivalry.

Cincinnati Bengals long snapper Cal Adomitis played with Hamlin in college. And the mutual connection said that after the official reports about Damar reached their locker room, Burrow was the first to say something. “Joe Burrow was the first one to ask if the team could visit the Bills locker room to express their support/concern,” the Athletic’s Mike DeFabo tweeted.
