Lamar Jackson is a name that has been on the lips of NFL fans and experts alike for quite some time now. His remarkable talent and stunning performances on the field have made him one of the most exciting players in the league today. However, despite his obvious talent, there has been a cloud of uncertainty hanging over his future with the Baltimore Ravens. His ongoing standoff with NFL teams continues to be a case of curiosity for the NFL world.
Despite being the 2019 NFL MVP, the Ravens chose non-franchise tagged Jackson, leaving his future with the team up in the air. While other teams in the league expressed interest in acquiring the QB, once he was tagged, they backed out of negotiations. This has left Jackson in a somewhat precarious position, unsure of what the future holds for him. Now, he is seeking revenge for being passed on by the teams and for not being taken seriously.

Even though Jackson has not been able to perform at his full potential on the field because of his injuries, he is still undeniably one of the best quarterbacks in the game. The 2019 MVP is an asset, and any team who could acquire this asset would get a boost in their offensive arsenal. According to an article by Robert Zeglinski in For The Win, Jackson is looking forward to facing all those teams who have said to be not interested in the QB for their roster.

Steven Ruiz compiled career statistics of Jackson against all those teams and coaches who have discontinued their interest in the player. The statistics speak for themselves. Jackson has been in a long standoff with the Baltimore Ravens. The player has been demanding a contract like the $230 million guaranteed deal Deshaun Watson got last year. Apart from this, the QB also declined a $133 million fully guaranteed contract from the Ravens, as he felt that his value is worth more than that for everything he has done for the organization.
Where will Jackson be heading for the 2023 season?
The situation about Jackson’s new home is still unclear amidst all the controversy going on around his contract. While the Indianapolis Colts had shared their interest in the QB, the interest has not led to a solid fruition towards a contract for the player. Apart from this, Jackson has said he is interested in playing for the New England Patriots. But the Patriots have kept their confidence in their current QB Mac Jones. Besides, the amount Jackson wants might be a difficult one to swallow for Bill Belichick.
