NFL veteran Shannon Sharpe’s theory is tantalizingly intriguing as he suggests Lamar Jackson’s possible frustration with his contract situation. As the news of Philly QB getting a massive contract went out, fans were worried about what would Lamar Jackson do now. Could Jackson be lamenting what could have been, pondering the possibility of a bigger payday if only he had taken a different approach to contract negotiations?

However, Sharpe’s suggestion, Jackson may be looking at Jalen Hurts’ recent contract extension and feeling a pang of regret for not securing a similar deal earlier. He paints a picture of Jackson comparing his own situation to Hurts’, who was able to secure a substantial amount of guaranteed money with his new deal.
