The Chicago Bears QB Justin Fields is shining and stuffing his stats sheet in the league. However, he is not able to move past his team’s seventh loss. Since the Bears are failing at delivering wins, fans on social media threw harsh comments at QB No 1. To counter them, he unleashed his inner Green Goblin as he addressed the Bears supporters with a subliminal message.

Justin Fields started the season as one of the worst passers. His throwing DVOA was -50.5% but then Chicago used his agility to their benefit, which helped the team’s passing offense. Despite his growing prowess in the game, he and his team could not show what the fans wanted them to.

Therefore, to counter the scrutiny he was under, he posted a picture on his Instagram account with a caption from Spider-Man. The dialogue which Green Goblin uttered goes like this: “But the one thing they love more than a hero is to see a hero fail, fall, d*e trying. In spite of everything you’ve done for them, eventually they will hate you.” It looks like the young QB wanted to warn his fans and let them know that his best is yet to come.

The team’s loss made Justin Fields morose

Even though Justin Fields is one of the best quarterbacks in the league right now, he still cannot win it all by himself. In Sunday Night Football, the Detroit Lions defeated the Chicago Bears by 31-30. The performance he gave was spectacular. He ran for 147 yards, 2 throwing TDs, and 2 running TDs. But he also threw an interception which was converted into a touchdown.

However, his outstanding performance could have done more for his team. The Chicago Bears let go of a 24-10 lead slip away and they lost to their rivals.

Not only was this their third consecutive loss, but it also put them at the bottom of the NFC North division. Chicago is now 3-7.

The 23-year-old did everything in his power to lead Chicago, but nothing came out of his efforts. After the game, reality hit him.
