A year after former Buccaneer Rob Gronkowski raised money at the Boston Marathon to build a park for children, he’s back at it again. This time, however, the funds go to building another park in the Charles River Esplanade in Boston. Gronkowski Tweeted about the proposed funding, asking people to register and run for “Team Gronk” to help raise the funds.

Gronkowski retired from football earlier this year, after making a surprise return to football to play for the Bucs and Tom Brady. Now, though, it seems he is done with football, for good. But he seems to want to make an impact off the field too. Last year’s fundraiser at the Boston Marathon saw a whopping $1.2 million donated to restoring a playground in Boston. The donation comes through his charitable foundation, the Gronk Nation Youth Foundation.

Gronkowski set up ‘Gronk Nation’ to “help kids stay actively involved in school and sports and provide them with the tools needed to help them follow their dreams and live a happy and more successful life.” The foundation mainly involves grants for sports programs and has a strong emphasis on health, community, and fitness.

NFL Fans melt in adoration over Rob Gronkowski’s charitable ventures

NFL fans are thoroughly impressed and are adulating the former Bucs tight end for his commendable service to the community. And of course, there are those who desperately want him to come back to Tampa Bay and help Brady and the Bucs get things back on track.
