The Cowboys owner Jerry Jones had something to say on the franchise’s Super Bowl drought. He assured the fans that QB Dak Prescott will be better at turnovers from here on and also backed head coach Mike McCarthy.

“Focus on Dak being better. He’s right. He will be better at turnovers. Focus on that and focus on the coach that has come in here and in three years, had the results that we’ve had,” Jones said.

Jones then compared the time period since the Cowboys last lifted the Vince Lombardi trophy to that of the team that knocked them out this season, the San Francisco 49ers. He used the Niners’ example to defend his position as the team GM.

“I understand why, when you look back and say,’ well, the Cowboys and San Francisco haven’t been to the Super Bowl in 25 years. Okay, haven’t won the Super Bowl in 25 years. I understand that. San Francisco is in the same boat. But my point is, that hasn’t been the same in 25 years. There’s been many different things done over the 25 years. The same way had you changed the general manager,” the 80-year-old billionaire added.
