For the past two seasons, Stefon Diggs has been a prominent weapon for Josh Allen and the Buffalo Bills. While big sharks like Tyreek Hill and Davante Adams were parting ways with their existing teams in search of a better option, Diggs was fortunate enough to bag a lucrative extension from the Bills.

The contract extension assured the star wideout a stay with the team for four more years till the 2027 season. Interestingly, Diggs is left with two more years with the team, according to his ongoing contract. Now, this new deal also helped him decide his future in the NFL.

When Diggs was initially traded to the Bills from the Minnesota Vikings in 2020, the club had the sole purpose of building a formidable team around Josh Allen. Now it seems, Bills are almost successful in accomplishing the task.

A veteran wide receiver supporting an emerging quarterback, Josh Allen, will help the team accomplish their future ambitions. According to the new contract, Diggs won’t be a free agent until the 2028 offseason and will turn 34 then. Most of the time, an average wide receiver past 30 is good to retire.
Meanwhile, the star wide receiver acknowledged the possibility and thanked the Bills Mafia for giving him this opportunity. “There was so much work put in to get to this point, but I am beyond happy to know that I will be playing the rest of my career with BILLS MAFIA. Words cannot describe how I’m feeling right now,” Diggs wrote in his Instagram post.

According to ESPN’s Adam Schefter, Diggs signed a four-year, $104 million contract extension with the Buffalo Bills. The receiver will also earn $70 million in terms of guaranteed money-making him the second receiver in history after Tyreek Hill to achieve the feat. Indeed, it was a logical move by the Bills to keep the star WR by their side for a much longer time, however, at a cheaper price.
Diggs has been the backbone of the Bills’ offense
Diggs made his entry into the NFL with the Minnesota Vikings in 2015. He got selected in the fifth round of the 2015 NFL draft. After staying for five years with the team till 2019, the Vikings traded him to Buffalo Bills in 2020.

Since it was an opportunity for the WR to establish his standard in the league. In the next two years, Diggs caught 230 passes for 2,760 yards and 18 touchdowns. Even the general manager of the team acknowledged his greatness.
