Super Bowl Winning HC Sean McVay Hints at Odell Beckham Jr. Return To LA Rams

Odell Beckham Jr. suffered an ACL injury during the Super Bowl. Even though his team went on to win the match, OBJ was visibly upset due to getting injured.  Moreover, he has been a free agent since then. There have been major speculations on where the former Browns receiver will land.

The LA Rams currently lead the race to sign him once he gets healthy, but other teams are also interested in him. The Green Bay Packers have also shown much interest in OBJ, and so have the Chiefs. However, the Rams head coach dropped a hint on a potential return of OBJ to the Rams, during his appearance on the Rich Eisen Show.

Rich Eisen asked Sean McVay, “Is Odell still on your radar Sean?”, McVay replied “Oh, of course, I really want Odell back on our team. He’s a guy that in a short amount of time we were able to develop a really special relationship. I thought He brought a great spark to our team, I thought he played really well, he’s a great teammate.”

He added, “We all know what a charisma and a presence that he has, but he is truly a great teammate, made so many impactful plays, um it was a shame to see him go down in that game, but man he sure still made an impact with those two catches that he did have, and uh without a doubt want to get Odell back here…”

The Los Angeles Rams need Odell Beckham Jr. back!

Odell Beckham Jr. became an important part of the LA Rams offense last year. He was signed mid-season after he was released by the Cleveland Browns. OBJ’s career got a revival with his arrival in Los Angeles. Many people doubted the Rams after they acquired OBJ, but the WR silenced all his critics.

In an offense that has the likes of Cooper Kupp and Matthew Stafford, the Rams still require a player like OBJ. His presence on the field and leadership in the locker room is vital for them. As the Rams want to repeat as Super Bowl champs, they’d need to get their WR2 back as soon as he gets healthy. However, they are likely to face tough competition from other teams to land him.
