The Green Bay Packers had quite a run in 2020. Led by MVP quarterback Aaron Rodgers, the franchise made it to their 2nd consecutive NFC title game. Only to lose to eventual Super Bowl winners, the Tampa Bay Buccaneers.

The loss obviously left a bitter taste in the mouth of fans and players alike. But fortunately for the franchise, roster wise, they have what it takes to make another run for the Super Bowl.

And talking about Rodgers’ ability to elevate the game of any WR, one NFL analyst said that free agents on the market should strongly consider making a push for a move to the Packers.

Making the most of Aaron Rodgers

During a segment of GMFB, NFL analyst Scott Pioli said that wide receivers searching for teams should look to target a move to Green Bay due to Aaron Rodgers.

“They (Green Bay Packers) have one of the best, if not the best quarterbacks in the NFL. Elite quarterbacks make average receivers, better than average. They make good receivers, great receivers,” said Pioli, who was once a GM for the Atlanta Falcons.

Pioli further highlighted the reasons why wide receivers should look to join the franchise on a short-term deal.

“Right now we’re looking at a depressed market for free agents. So if I’m a free agent receiver, and I’m not happy with what’s out there right now, I’m going to go and see if I could get a one-year deal.

“Be alongside Aaron Rodgers and that offense, be on national TV a whole bunch and wait for next year’s market,” he said. “Do a one-year deal with incentives. Get paid as you perform and then you will get paid in 2020,” he added.

Drawing parallels to Tom Brady and his work with the Buccaneers, Pioli said the Packers should follow suit. “You don’t need a whole lot of cap room you’ve got a great quarterback. That’s what we saw happen in Tampa Bay last year.

“Players flocked to want to be a part of Tom Brady. They should be doing the same thing with Aaron Rodgers because he is one of the greatest of all time.”
