Tom Brady and His Former Favorite Teammate Hilariously Get Into It After New Trailer Marks TB12 and Gronk’s Debut on the Big Screen

Seven-time Super Bowl champion Tom Brady and his former teammate Julian Edelman drew the NFL World’s attention with some playful banter online.

The former Patriots wide receiver, who retired after the 2020 season, tweeted out a lighthearted jab at his former quarterback. Keeping the playfulness of the situation in mind, Brady did not hesitate to chime in.

Edelman shared the new trailer of ’80 for Brady,’ a movie which features award-winning actresses Jane Fonda, Rita Moreno, Lily Tomlin and Sally Field. The movie is set around the group traveling to Houston in 2017. In the movie, the four best friends head to watch Brady and the Patriots win Super Bowl LI against the Atlanta Falcons.

Edelman quote tweeted the trailer, saying, “#80forBrady will also be the title of the doc made about Tom’s retirement,”

While the NFL World speculates over when Brady will retire, the quarterback seems to have already made plans.

’80 for Brady’ is set to premiere in 2023. Apart from featuring Tom Brady and Julian Edelman, the movie also features another one of Brady’s former teammates, Rob Gronkowski. Brady is also the executive producer of the film.

TB12 shared the trailer on his Instagram handle. He said, “It has been so cool to see this film come together. To everyone who has helped us get here, THANK YOU. This is an incredible story, led by four amazing women, and we’re so excited to share our trailer.”

If you thought Brady was retiring, you thought wrong

To all those who think Brady might retire this season, it sure does not seem that way. TB12’s caption ended with him saying that 45 in football years is only like 6.5 in dog years. The QB also said he’s just getting started.

Brady is fresh off from a divorce with the Brazilian supermodel Gisele Bündchen. The couple split after 13 years of marriage. The descent in their relationship reportedly began when the quarterback returned to the league after a brief retirement stint.
