At 45, Tom Brady just made it to his 14th straight playoff appearance. First with the New England Patriots and then with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers for the last three years. And some people can’t help but admire the seven-time Super Bowl champion’s longevity in the league. That included some iconic NFL quarterbacks from multiple generations.

On the latest episode of the Let’s Go Podcast with Jim Gray, Brady had the esteemed company of his childhood hero and former Super Bowl-winning 49ers QB, Steve Young. The other quarterback present was Steve Young’s idol and former champion with the Cowboys, Roger Staubach. Both the legendary signal-callers admired Brady for doing what they could not.

2x Super Bowl champion Cowboy Roger Staubach only had a 10-year career in the NFL. Tom Brady has more than doubled that already, and he has no plans of stopping. Roger poked fun at his grand successor in the league. “It’s a real privilege for me to be an old quarterback with you young guys. And I was watching both of you [Young & Brady] play. Of course, Tom is still playing. How old are you now, 60? 65,” Staubach jokingly asked Brady.

TB12 had an answer to justify his humor and his exhaustion after a tough 18 weeks of the 2022 season. “I’m getting there. It feels like that. Especially this morning. So I’m definitely right about that age,” the 15x Pro Bowler replied.
