The Kansas City Chiefs won handsomely against the San Francisco 49ers on Sunday. As always, Patrick Mahomes was the star. But when the star QB credited the whole team for the win, Travis Kelce interrupted the interview to credit Mahomes.

The Chiefs looked thoroughly deadly in game week seven.

After the Chiefs thumped the 49ers 44-23 at Levi’s Stadium, Patrick Mahomes gave a sideline interview. He credited the whole team for the win against the number one overall defense.

“Yeah, we realized early that they are going to be aggressive and come down and force us to win over the top. So, I was proud of the guys. There are guys who haven’t been here and still showed that we can win over the top and still be the Kansas City Chiefs that everybody knows,” Mahomes said.

When asked about his learnings after doubts over the personnel changes in the team, Mahomes said there is competition everywhere.

Travis Kelce interrupted Mahomes mid-interview and said, “Patrick Mahomes, the one and only.”

The interview won the hearts of the NFL world on Twitter. Fans hailed the performance and the bond between both the Chiefs stars.

Patrick Mahomes was especially on fire with a 423-yard game. He threw three touchdown passes and just one interception. Mahomes completed 25 of his 34 pass attempts.

Travis Kelce, on the other hand, had a decent game. He completed six pass receptions. But Kelce didn’t score a touchdown. Mecole Hardman scored two rushing TDs and one receiving touchdown. JuJu Smith-Schuster and Justin Watson scored one receiving touchdown each.

The Chiefs are first on the AFC West table, winning five of their seven games. They will be facing Tennessee Titans in game week eight.
