Hurricane Ian is still running rampant in Florida, causing havoc in the lives of thousands of people. And though not nearly as bad, the Tampa Bay Buccaneers seem to have run into issues of their own. The Bucs QB Tom Brady revealed in a press conference that the hurricane has caused a lot of changes in the team’s weekly routine. It has caused some challenges in preparing for their next game.
TB12 spoke to media personnel over the phone, answering questions mostly focused on the team’s mentality for the next game. When asked if the Bucs have been able to prepare against Patrick Mahomes‘ Kansas City Chiefs, as closely as they would on a normal week, Brady had this to say:

“You know we haven’t even had a Thursday practice yet. There’s still so much prep (left)…..We’ll use every minute we have up to game time to prepare….We’re facing one of the best teams in the league so you know we’re just gonna do the best we could do with the circumstances that are presented in front of us… We’re definitely in a different routine but we’re gonna have to focus the best way we can in order to put our best performance out there”
Given the circumstances, it is not really shocking that the Bucs are a bit skewed with their training schedules. But it is nevertheless a legitimate cause for concern, even though the injuries this week are lower than last week.

Although this can momentarily be pinned on a lack of continuity in the team, fans will wonder if the Bucs will repeat this in Sunday’s game. Lack of proper training sessions could also possibly result in a continuity lapse, which may yet again cause problems in tense situations.
Of course, things need not always be so grim. The Bucs could always pull out an Uno reverse card and come up with a stomping won over the Chiefs. But given the circumstances, fans wouldn’t really pin their hopes on such an outcome.
