“Packers Fans Cry”: Aaron Rodgers Massive Update on Trade Rumors Smear Shockwaves
The Green Bay Packers have a history of favoring bright young stars over franchise QBs. After ESPN’s report on the team’s preference to move ahead without Rodgers at the helm, it certainly paints an uncertain future for the QB. Giving financial reasons and their current state as the basis behind their thought process, the Packers offered a not-so-subtle indication that their ties with Rodgers would be severed. While an update like this could have sent fans berserk, the team saved from a potential eruption because of the QB’s own admission. While speaking on the Pat McAfee show- which has slowly morphed into the Aaron Rodgers update central- the QB said, “Again, that wouldn’t offend me, and it wouldn’t make me feel like a victim.” Rodgers specified there would be no animosity on his end if the team chose to proceed with a potential successor.
