Imagine turning up to an NFL game, and getting to witness an actual brawl. That is exactly what the fans experienced at the SoFi Stadium on Monday night. Before the Dallas Cowboys and Los Angeles Chargers got onto the field, the teams apparently got physical, creating a spectacle for the onlookers to go bonkers about.

Although pregame brawls are a rare thing in the league, they surely didn’t seem so during this week. The fans were already not getting enough of the pre-game fight between the San Francisco 49ers and Cleveland Browns at the Cleveland Browns stadium. Moreover, they got into another hot altercation just a day after that.

What made the teams break out?

Although the 4-2 Cowboys don’t have a rivalry with the 2-3 Chargers like they have with the 49ers, the team still couldn’t stop their punches against its opponents. The two teams charged at each other with such aggression that the Chargers RB Austin Ekeler’s helmet popped off due to a direct hit by Dallas DE Dante Fowler. According to ESPN’s Todd Archer, the scuffle sparked when the Chargers blocked the Dallas Cowboys’ entrance to the field.

Although Trash talks and invading personal spaces have been common themes for past pre-game fights, a team blocking another’s entrance is not seen very often. Almost all the players from both teams were seen fist-fighting in the heat of the situation. However, the Dallas Cowboys got their perfect revenge by defeating the Chargers in the game with a 3-point difference.

PurpyNFL wondered what made them succumb to a fight when they barely had games against each other. “Pregame fights between random teams is so funny, like what is the beef between the Cowboys and Chargers they play each other twice a decade.”

Boutthemboys made a funny joke saying, ” Mike McCarthy: “We need to see some fight tonight!” Cowboys: “

On the other hand, BKalus commented, “Fights in the crowds and fights on the field but can’t touch the QB during the game.”
