Amid the magnanimous 2-0 start of the season, the injury report remains to be a concern for the Dallas Cowboys. Before this bug, there was a hope that the team was going to breach in full throttle with their inevitable offense. But now the entire offensive lineup is seemingly in jeopardy. The Arizona Cardinals are well-known for their defensive tactics, but many pundits predicted their fate to be similar to that of the New York Jets on the previous Sunday.

The Dallas Cowboys had all of their fans hyped for the last two weeks. They dominated both of the New York teams with a phenomenal points gap. They defeated the New York Giants by a gigantic 40-0 lead and also delivered a 30-10 loss to the Jets. The Arizona Cardinals, on the other hand, are not experiencing a great run, since they started off with an 0-2 record. But the Cowboys could face some difficulty this coming Sunday.

According to a report shared by Ian Rapoport, the cornerback Trevon Diggs is tagged as ‘injured reserve’. While the two offensive linemen, the Cowboys offensive tackle, Tyron Smith, and offensive lineman, Tyler Biadasz, have their status listed as ‘questionable’. Biadasz’s hamstring issue was quite known to the team, but eyebrows were raised when two backup centers were elevated from the practice squad.

Now it has been made known to the public, that even Tyler Smith is suffering from a knee injury. So there are still concerns regarding that. However, Jerry Jones must be still trying to be optimistic, as he did a similar thing when Diggs went through an ACL tear.

Jerry Jones considers Trevon Diggs to be “irreplaceable”

In the recent X post, Todd Archer asked Jerry Jones about the future plans of the Dallas Cowboys regarding their cornerback lineup. He raised the question of whether they’d be looking at some other players to replace their CB Trevon Diggs. To that, Jones said, “The facts are that we do have depth. We don’t have depth with somebody with his unique abilities, but we’ve got depth relative to playing the position.”

Moreover, he also compared Diggs to Tom Cruise of the Cowboys. He has an immense impact on the team with his skills. He added, “So the point is you don’t replace these irreplaceable players.” Seeing this, it’s quite obvious that Jones is quite confident in his lineup, although he understands that the Cowboys will be facing problems without the unique skills of Diggs.
