It’s no news that the Cowboys failed to defeat the 49ers in their home. From Micah Parsons speaking his mind on his podcasts, to George Kittle’s antics and Skip Bayless’ relentless commentary on the situation, the whole thing is a mess. Also, this has raised a lot of eyebrows around Dak Prescott as recently Bayless tweeted that America’s team should give Trey Lance a shot. But the owner Jerry Jones hasn’t lost his trust in Dallas’ QB1.

Amid a lot of stress, people have also been questioning the Cowboys’ owner about his decision to try new things and his stance on Dak Prescott. Without revealing too much, Jerry Jones seems like a man of empathy and integrity, although he can’t say it himself, his actions can.

Skip Bayless can say whatever he wants about the Cowboys’ management. He advised Jerry Jones in the recent past to try and switch things and put Trey Lance to use. However, Jerry Jones did the opposite, doubling down on Dak Prescott. Maybe Jerry Jones has faced a lot of storms in his life, and this is just one of them, meaning his trust in Dallas QB1 might just be a hiccup for him. On the contrary, he thinks that Prescott can take America’s team to the Super Bowl.

The Cowboys’ owner is pretty clear about Dak Prescott’s role. He was, and still is the Dallas’ QB1 indeed. While the whole world is questioning Dak Prescott right now, he should feel better that the Cowboys’ owner still trusts him and acts like nothing has changed. This might be quite an emotional moment for the QB1 amid all the mistrust.

The other side of the story

While everyone is talking about the grand win that the 49ers had, it is also paramount to see Dallas’ side of the story. The team lost 42 points against the combined losing score of 41 in their first 4 weeks. On top of that, they are now battling with multiple injuries on their roster. Leighton Vander Esch was out due to a knee injury, and Trevon Diggs has already not been playing, along with one of their key players, CJ Goodwin.

The team was also less efficient in their first and third downs, not getting a lot of plays and incomplete passes. It is good to see Jerry Jones doubling down and standing with Prescott as the whole world is questioning him. After all this, Dallas has slipped down to the second position in the NFC East.
