Preview-
Los Angeles Lakers’ longest losing streak this season seems to be on the increase. After their latest loss against Los Angeles Cippers on Christmas day was their fourth consecutive defeat. Another matter of concern for the Lakers would be the fitness of LeBron James.
He is known to have injured himself again in the Clippers game.
On a rather disappointing Christmas night, the Lakers found a scorer other than the duo of LeBron James and Anthony Davis in the final of Kyle Kuzma. Kuzma scored a team-high 25 points to support Anthony Davis’s 24 points, six rebounds and LeBron’s 23, 10 ast, 9 rebs. Kuzma will once again have to step up on Saturady as they look to get back to winning ways.
The Trail Blazers will be coming into the game after a hard fought loss against Utah Jazz on Thursday. The Trail Blazers have been on the rise since adding Carmelo Anthony to their roster. They are currently placed eighth in the Western Conference with a win-loss record of 14-18.
In their 121-115 loss in the last game, the Trail Blazers were led by Damian Lillard. Lillard registered 34 points, eight assists and four rebounds on the night. CJ McCollum and Carmelo Anthony supported him with 25 and 12 points respectively. McCollum has been productive for Portland this season, averaging 22.4 points and 4.4 rebounds per game. Although their Saturday’s opponents haven’t won their last four games, Portland will have to bring up their to stand a chance.
