The current World no. 2 Simona Halep has not just established herself as a Grand Slam winner but as one of the greats to have played the game. The Romanian has been around the tour for a while. In 2013, when she first revealed herself on the main stage, she won 6 WTA titles.
The following year in 2014, Simona made it to her first-ever Grand Slam final at Roland Garros. Ever since then, she has remained on top of the women’s games on a consistent basis, winning the French Open and Wimbledon. She has been a finalist at the Australian Open too.

Reflecting on the Australian Open, which is finally scheduled for a February start, Simona Halep has confirmed her participation. The former World No. 1 put forward her conditions earlier. She indicated that if the arrangements were the same as they were in Paris, she would be part of it. The Romanian is quite excited and looking forward to the event.
