“I’m excited for the city of Miami in so many different ways, obviously, as being in the final, you have an opportunity to do something special. Now that he’s here, all the football and soccer fans are gonna come here and get an opportunity to watch him compete, so I’m glad he’s here,” he added.
Butler also pointed out that Messi’s arrival has also opened the door for other soccer stars to come and watch him play in the US. Either way, the NBA star is eager to see him in action. Moreover, he’ll be looking to build his friendship with Messi, as both share a common friendship with Neymar.
A good friend of Neymar
Both Messi and Butler have a good bond with Neymar and the Heats’ power forward will be looking to make use of it. He expressed his hopes to see the Brazilian saying, “So Ney, I know you’re looking somewhere. You’d better be there”.
