Mason Greenwood once regarded as a bright prospect and the future of the England football club is going through a rough patch of time. The Manchester United academy player was found guilty on sexual assault charges which were later dropped. During his time at United, Mason Greenwood called Cristiano Ronaldo ‘Dead’ implying it to his stalled career while Ronaldo was playing for Real Madrid.

In a recent development, the club has decided to part ways with the Greenwood. Mason Greenwood is now available on the market but the Saudi club’s are also refraining from signing the player.

Manchester United in their club statement said, “All those involved, including Mason, recognize the difficulties with him recommencing his career at Manchester United. It has therefore been mutually agreed that it would be most appropriate for him to do so away from Old Trafford, and we will now work with Mason to achieve that outcome.” Public image is a big concern when it comes to situations like this. Hence, it’s not a shock that Saudi Clubs have been told by Saudi Pro League chiefs to not sign Mason Greenwood.

The Saudi clubs are just being developed at such a nascent stage it would only be preferable if they stay clear off such publicity. The chiefs of the Saudi Pro League beliefs it can have negative consequences for the business and can hurt sentiments of fans and supporters. They don’t want themselves to be in a position from which they sustain irreparable damages.

Mason Greenwood has been the center of media attention for a long time. Even after cases being dropped he had to keep making visits to the court. The life of a man who was noted by many as a prodigy has been losing crucial years in covering faces and clearing cases.

In a statement long-awaited, Manchester United parted ways with Mason Greenwood. Many speculated that it was the public pressure that had to say more than the ones involved.

In their statement, Manchester United duly recognized that based on the evidence they have the pictures posted online that started this whole thing did not paint a clear picture. The statement also said that Mason Greenwood did not commit the mistakes for which he was officially charged. Mason Greenwood is said to accept making faults and will take due responsibility.
