Even a bottle of water in the desert can feel like a river. Ironically, in the midst of plenty, there seems to lack of everything. Such has been the story of PSG for so many years. In addition, the club is expected to give up Kylian Mbappe free of cost. Amid the recent scare of a fake agent, PSG managed to sneak out and escape from a major threat of financial loss.

Despite being ready to invest whatever it takes, the club from Ville d’Amour (City of Love) seemingly cannot convince Mbappe to stay back. Achieving your primary goal is the biggest success, but PSG hasn’t managed to win the prestigious Champions League. However, this recent incident saved them some money.

PSG has decided to wash and shuffle its core, hence they signed quite a lot of top players. In the process, they were able to sell their longest-standing player to the Qatari side of Al Arabi. Marco Verratti was not considered for PSG’s future plans. Head Coach Luis Enrique had apparently told Verratti that he would never play for the club again under him. Marco Verratti started off at Parc des Princes in July 2012 and was sold for a $48 Million deal. The deal came as a huge relief after concerns about letting Mbappe go as a free agent next year.

The move came as a huge relief as PSG was taken aback by the recent fake agent scam that hit them. An imposter of Verratti’s agent was in regular contact with Saudi leaders who were interested in getting the 30-year-old Italian to Saudi.

Verratti also gained potential interest from Chelsea and Manchester City but chose to move to Qatar for his future. This also complimented the $107.7 million gained by PSG when Mbappe agreed to let go of his club royalties for some regular soccer action.

Despite having Lionel Messi, Kylian Mbappe, and Neymar, PSG was unable to win the Champions League. Even though they have been a successful force in France, the lack of European dominance may still frustrate them. They recently signed some of the top players across Europe, which adds quite a strength to their positions. Randal Kolo Muani, Ousmane Dembele, Lucas Hernandez, and Manuel Ugarte are some of their new joiners.

Amid all the signings and let-offs, including Neymar and Messi, PSG’s heart has always revolved around Mbappe. The 24-year-old was initially put off for the season but was let in after constructive discussions with the club. Even though things have seemed to calm down at the moment, Kylian has still not decided about the future.
