Throughout the transfer window, there has been a cloud of uncertainty surrounding the relationship between Mbappe and PSG. The player’s refusal to extend his contract and PSG’s decision to remove him from the first-team list led many to believe that Real Madrid would be able to secure his services. However, Madrid Coach Carlo Ancelotti put an end to these speculations by stating that the club has no intention of making any further signings.

Ancelotti confidently declared, “We will not sign any other player, it’s 100% over. Our squad has been closed and so it’s finished”. This decision could be attributed to Ancelotti’s faith in the current squad or perhaps it is due to the exorbitant price tag of $270 million set by PSG for Mbappe’s acquisition. It is possible that Real Madrid is choosing to bide their time and wait until next season when Mbappe will become a free agent.
