Eden Hazard seems to be the number one pick for providing expertise regarding the Lionel Messi and Cristiano Ronaldo debate. The Belgian player was approached multiple times to reveal his choice between the two players. After claiming to fit more into Lionel Messi’s shoes than Ronaldo’s, Hazard has now snubbed the Portuguese captain in another contest of the best.

The soccer world is experiencing a transition from the legends. Last season, fans witnessed a fierce build-up to another rivalry between Erling Haaland and Kylian Mbappe, with both of them scoring more than 90 goals together. Now it seems like the former Lille player is also fed up with the debate and snubbed CR7 even from the best right-footer debate. When asked, “Best right foot in the world?” he gave a thought and answered, “Mbappe.” But that wasn’t the end. Hazard, when asked about the best left foot, answered, “Messi.”

Meanwhile, Eden Hazard hung his boots up last year after suffering repeated injuries in the last few years. The player won his maiden Champions League title with Real Madrid but does not seem to have the club bias towards choosing the Al Nassr captain. Ronaldo is an icon for most Real Madrid players like Rodrygo, Vinicius Jr., etc.

Earlier, the hosts questioned Hazard on the cliched question between Ronaldo and Messi, which he did not differentiate. Other inquiries that were followed up were about his choice between Erling Haaland and Mbappe, which he chose, the PSG captain. In between Mahrez and Salah, Hazard chose the Liverpool star. Anyhow, he snubbed Ronaldo in almost all categories.

Earlier, the Belgian winger claimed that Cristiano was the greatest goalscorer and Lionel Messi was the finest player. Attributing Messi to be more joyful with the ball, Eden claimed Ronaldo to be more numbers-oriented. Despite being in the latter stages of his career, the captain of Al Nassr ended 2023 with a remarkable 54 goals and has already kicked off this year with four goals in just four matches. Yet, the big question remains!

Mbappe has already become a legend in Paris with 244 goals in 292 games and winning five league titles. However, the player is expected to do great exploits in Madrid, just like Cristiano Ronaldo.

CR7’s stellar career at Santiago Bernabeu involved 450 goals in 438 games, winning 4 Champions League titles and 3 La Liga championships. And to match this, Mbappe will need the consistency he has been maintaining for years. Nevertheless, Ronaldo’s feat this season has been commendable, and it would not be a surprise if he repeats his magic at Al Nassr.
