Cristiano Ronaldo, Sadio Mane, and Karim Benzema are among the talented players in the league. Moreover, top coaches are coming into the league, in a bid to help the soccer scenario in the country to grow to greater heights. One name to jump the ship from Europe to the Middle East is Liverpool legend, Steven Gerrard. He manages Al-Ettifaq. The side is fourth in the Saudi Pro League standings. 

Therefore, the manager is doing well in the new league and wants to take on another role in building Saudi Arabian soccer to the top. With Ronaldo embracing the Al Nassr role, Gerrard looks to boost the league as a whole.

The side is playing well, as they are on a three-game winning streak. But now, Gerrard sets sights on a new role to boost the popularity of the Saudi Pro League. In a recent interview, Gerrard stated, “I want to be an ambassador in the Saudi League.” Gerrard has a salary of $20,000,000 and that figure will increase with various role changes. 

It would be something to look forward to, as Gerrard enjoys a cult status amongst the soccer fraternity. He took Liverpool to greater heights and won the UEFA Champions League after inspiring a mesmerizing comeback. With him as the ambassador for soccer in Saudi Arabia, things look bright for the league upfront. The players that these clubs sign prove to make a difference in many departments.
