Mohamed Salah has established himself as one of the most influential players in the world of soccer. Recently, the winger’s name was mentioned in the same breath as iconic figures like Messi and Ronaldo by former Al Nassr manager and current Egypt coach, Rui Vitoria. The Liverpool star was praised for his influence just like these legendary players have.

As per Record, Vitoria said, “Salah is very important in our national team. And these players, who are world figures, are in fact very important in the various teams they represent. We remember a Messi, we remember a Cristiano Ronaldo, we remember a Salah, maybe Neymar, [Kylian] Mbappe. The big teams have a player like this. And our Salah brings great positivity to the whole group.”

Vitoria insists Salah’s positive energy transmits to his other teammates and that the team feels pride to have a player like him. The ex-Benfica manager acknowledged that “the impact these players have on a daily basis is enormous,” which at times even these players don’t know. Vitoria explains the presence of these names also raises the level of demand and is decisive, which forces the whole group to raise their level of ability.

Certainly, these are some huge claims from the 53-year-old, and they must be music to Salah’s ears. Notably, the winger will join his national teammates for this month’s international friendlies against Zambia and Algeria. Speaking of the international break, Ronaldo will also make a return for Portugal after facing a ban.

Earlier, Ronaldo was forced to miss the clash against his favorite opponents Luxembourg, which his side managed to win 9-0. The skipper was absent from the game due to a booking he received in a match against Slovakia just before facing Luxembourg. However, the 38-year-old will now eagerly rejoin Os Navegadores after serving his suspension.

Likewise, Roberto Martinez’s side will be facing Slovakia on October 14th for their UEFA Euro Qualifiers. Three days later, on October 17th, they will be locking horns against Bosnia and Herzegovina. Certainly, Ronaldo will be looking to make quite an impact in both fixtures and lead his side to glory.
