Inter Miami had been active in the transfer market this season, signing a number of world-class players in order to build a strong squad. In keeping his promise to Miami fans, David Beckham assembled a competitive team with the likes of Lionel Messi and his former Barcelona teammates for the Herons. Meanwhile, the head coach of Inter Miami commented on the transfer rumors of La Pulga’s compatriots and the need to sign more players for the club.

Inter Miami had already recruited a number of high-profile players this season, including Jordi Alba, Sergio Busquets, Facundo Farias, and Tomas Avilés. Beckham’s side was still looking to sign two Argentine players from River Plate in order to add more quality to their squad ahead of the upcoming games. In a recent press conference, Tata Martino discussed where Inter Miami needed to strengthen the team and his thoughts on the potential transfer rumors.

David Beckham, the co-owner of Inter Miami, has been in talks to rope in Franco Armani and Enzo Perez from River Plate before the end of the transfer window. Martino was hesitant to comment on the players until they were officially signed to the club. But he did praise their careers and quality of play for the Argentine side.

In a recent interview, he remarked, “It’s not necessary to make an assessment of Franco’s and Enzo’s preferences, They are players of the highest quality.” Martino also added, “They are players with a long career, at the highest level, there is no need to clarify whether I like them or not. It’s clear that they are very respectable players”. Tata Martino also recognized the need for a high-quality squad rotation. He preferred to have “four or five different teams” to strengthen the MLS side for the upcoming fixtures.

Franco Armani, the Argentine goalkeeper, signed a contract extension with River Plate in February 2022 that will keep him at the club until December 2024. Enzo Pérez, on the other hand, had a contract that would be expired on December 2023. The Herons could have a perfect opportunity to sign the Argentine players this season. It would mean improving the team’s goalkeeping and midfield positions.

Inter Miami’s fortunes took a dramatic turn for the better after Lionel Messi joined the squad this season. The Herons had four consecutive wins in the Leagues Cup, after a poor run of eleven consecutive losses in MLS. La Pulga scored seven goals and provided three assists for Inter Miami. Two stunning free kicks that saved the team from losing games.

According to Gerardo Martino, Lionel Messi was replicating his form for Argentina in the World Cup. And he has planned to win trophies with his ecstatic performances as Miami was looking to extend their winning streak in the league.
