PSG superstar Kylian Mbappe turned 25 on Wednesday. In what can be called a birthday bash, the 25-year-old unleashed a brace that powered PSG’s win against Metz. Outside of the pitch, Mbappe’s teammates came together to blow candles. However, his close companion and ex-teammate Sergio Ramos could not join the celebrations like he used to while playing for PSG. Nonetheless, Ramos did not shy away from sending warm wishes to the Frenchman. The veteran defender’s sweet gesture was enough to make the striker happy as he responded with an emotional message depicting the closeness between the two of them.
The Spaniard shared the same pitch with Kylian Mbappe in 51 matches for PSG. That gave way to a strong bond outside the pitch. Though the veteran defender missed the PSG star’s birthday party, he did not forget to Facetime the birthday boy.

A few hours back, Sergio Ramos took to Instagram stories with a screen grab of a video call with Kylian Mbappe and Achraf Hakimi. Mbappe seemed to be celebrating his birthday with the fullback. Along with the picture, Ramos wrote “Miss u!” referring to the birthday boy. The French captain was quick to notice the 37-year-old defender’s gesture. The lethal striker also took to Instagram and reposted his ex-teammate’s story. The PSG #7 wrote “PAPAAAA MISS U,” on his post.
This bromance between the soccer greats is no great surprise. When Sergio Ramos signed for PSG after a storied Real Madrid stint, he was on cloud nine at the thought of sharing the stage with Kylian Mbappe. Besides, the French captain had the warmest of farewell notes for the ace defender when he left PSG for Sevilla. Apart from all this, there has been a time when Ramos acted like a father figure too. Thanks to the ex-Real Madrid icon’s timely advice and guidance, the PSG locker room saw tensions between Neymar and Kylian Mbappe easing.
