Al Nassr had an uneasy end to the 2022-2023 season after they let go of the Saudi Pro League from their fingertips. Post that, the team changed its coach from Rudi Garcia to Luis Castro a few months ago. The Portuguese manager shares a good rapport with Cristiano Ronaldo and recently revealed that the Portuguese soccer veteran may be in the last stages of his professional soccer career.

Castro stated, “Cristiano knows he is living the last moments of his career, so nothing better than enjoying it. Nothing better than being happy, because the thoughts in the last moments of a race are those that often stay until the end of life.”

Luis Castro felt that Cristiano is in such a stage where he is psychologically stronger and happy and wants to enjoy his game irrespective of other factors. The Al Nassr coach is weighing that Cristiano Ronaldo is in the later phase and trying to end his career on a joyful note to leave behind a good memory.

The former Shakhtar Donetsk coach mentioned that even if a person is physically fit but not in a suitable space mentally, he may not perform at a higher level. With Ronaldo scoring 40 goals in the season, Castro claims that CR7 is mentally tough and in a happy space.

Castro explains that Ronaldo lives a very disciplined life in soccer, which may lead him to the 2026 FIFA World Cup.
