As Ronaldo scored an emphatic brace against the rivals, Joao Cancelo and his former Manchester City teammate, Bernardo Silva, got their names on the scoresheet. It wasn’t an ordinary brace, as the 38-year-old scored a thunderous free kick.

Cristiano Ronaldo holds no grudges against his teammate

It was indeed a brilliant night for both Portugal and Ronaldo, as they endured a terrific win. Moreover, it was a jaw-dropping free kick from the legendary player, and the goal backfired on his teammate’s comments.

Joao Felix, Ronaldo’s striking partner, was recently asked who is the best free-kick taker in soccer. To that, the former Atletico Madrid man replied by saying Lionel Messi’s name.

Ronaldo didn’t need to prove himself after all, but he actually scored a brilliant free kick. This shows that the striker speaks with actions rather than words. Nevertheless, Felix might be second-guessing the answer he gave.

Top-notch performance from both GOATs

Whatever Felix’s answer is, both Messi and Ronaldo are among the greatest of all time. Moreover, both displayed a class performance as it was a treat for soccer fans. In fact, La Pulga also got himself a free-kick goal against Panama, thus securing a decent win for his side.
