Inter Miami, the MLS side owned by former soccer superstar David Beckham, has been making waves in the summer transfer market. The earlier announcement of signing World Cup winner Lionel Messi sent the entire soccer world into a frenzy. This recently got followed up by another surprise announcement of Messi’s former teammate, Sergio Busquets.

If all this was not enough, now the team has announced a new addition to their management team. Argentine manager Gerardo Martino will be taking on the role, aiming to bring success to the struggling Miami side. However, for Beckham, tough decisions had to be made to make this possible.

The decision to bring in a new coach was a needed one for David Beckham’s side. Just earlier this month, Beckham had to say goodbye to his close friend and former Manchester United teammate, Phil Neville. Neville had been the head coach of Inter Miami up until this point.

But a disappointing start to the 2023 MLS season forced Beckham to make a difficult choice. With the team sitting at the bottom of the Eastern Conference, changes needed to be made. In a bid to turn things around, Beckham has turned to the experienced Martino.
