Kylian Mbappe is the star of Paris. It’s no wonder that top European teams like Real Madrid are behind the PSG star for his signature. Luckily for Los Blancos, Mbappe is also a big-time fan of the club. While last summer the prospect of his transfer was simmering, this transfer window convinced many, including Real Madrid players, that Mbappe would finally join the club.

Unfortunately, the move broke down due to gargantuan monetary demands by the Parisians for Mbappe. This last-minute ditch by Los Blancos stunned soccer fans including Real Madrid defender Dani Carvajal. The Spaniard acknowledged this in his latest interview and also shared his wish to see the Frenchman at the Santiago Bernabeu soon.

Kylian Mbappe at the young age of 24 has already won the World Cup. However, the Champions League and the Ballon d’Or have been elusive to him. In order to win these trophies, his best bet is Real Madrid, the European royalty.

Luckily for Mbappe, the interest was reciprocated from the Los Blancos as well since they have not filled Cristiano Ronaldo’s void since he left for Juventus. Keeping these in mind, Los Blancos’ last-moment ditch has indeed been baffling.

Even Real Madrid player Dani Carvajal was left bewildered by this move from his club as he and his teammates were convinced that Mbappe would join the club. Apart from his club’s interest and Mbappe’s qualities, the Frenchman’s ousting from PSG’s Japan Tour this summer was the final nail in the coffin for him.

I thought he was coming,” said Dani Carvajal to Relevo. “The moment he doesn’t travel to the Japan tour… And I think Real Madrid is his option to leave. The moment he was out of the tour, we thought he was close to joining us,” he added.

Despite his club’s shocking move, the Spaniard remained convinced that it’s only a matter of time before Mbappe joins Real Madrid. After all, the Los Blancos are the home of the ‘Galacticos’. Let’s see… He is one of the best and the best have to play for Real Madrid,” said Carvajal on Mbappe’s future.

One of the key reasons for Mbappe’s ditch was Real Madrid’s confidence in $111M signing Jude Bellingham. The Englishman has delivered big for Madrid and while doing so, has impressed veteran teammate Dani Carvajal.

Carvajal is impressed with Jude Bellingham’s quick adaptation

After Bellingham made his high-profile move to Real Madrid, many were concerned about the time the Englishman would take to adapt from Germany to Spain, the Bundesliga tax. However, the former BVB star has silenced all his critics with his incredible on-pitch impact and leadership skills.

To put things into perspective, in his first four La Liga games, Jude Bellingham has notched up an incredible tally of 5 goals and 1 assist.

Dani Carvajal, in his recent interview, observed the same and expressed his admiration for the Englishman. As per the Spaniard, since his arrival at the Bernabeu, he has not seen a single player adapt to the pressure and play style of Real Madrid as quickly as Bellingham.

But since I’ve been here I’ve never seen such an adaptation. Not only in sporting terms, which is offering a very high performance but also in the locker room, in the relationship with teammates,” said the veteran Real Madrid player.
