We all know how PSG has been trying level hard to become the best in Europe. From the finest generational talent to seven-time Ballon d’Or winner, it has had them all. For the last few years, the team has only given prime importance to one star, which seems to have backfired. However, in positive news for the club, a young 22-year-old player trumped Kylian Mbappe to get the club a wonderful reward.

The takeover by the Qatar owners in 2011 brought in many investments for the club, which allowed them to buy talented players over the years. But, after the departure of Lionel Messi and Neymar, the team has brought in a pleasant mixture of youngsters and experience. One of their new stars is a potential game-changer for PSG that everyone is looking at.

One other most important aspect of generating profit is advertising through jerseys and the sale of jerseys. Usually, the most popular player becomes responsible for the sale. With PSG, it did not seem so. Even though Kylian Mbappe is the face of the club, the Korean star Kang-In Lee’s jersey becomes the most-sold PSG jersey this season.

The Korean star arrived this season in Paris for a transfer fee of over $20 million. The 22-year-old star has been one of Asia’s brightest soccer talents for the past three to four years. Even though the fans did not see him play much, Lee has made an unbelievable and unexpected impact on the club off the field.

When Lionel Messi left PSG, there were talks about how PSG could lose a big revenue with jerseys. However, after Messi’s exit, Lee has taken up the challenge instead of Kylian Mbappe to sell jerseys for PSG.

Even though PSG is adamant about keeping the 24-year-old World Cup winner, it looks like PSG has sorted a backup too. With a whole revamp in players, the club brought in players like Ousmane Dembele, Goncalo Ramos, and Randal Kolo Muani. However, the Korean star also cannot be underestimated. He was awarded the 2019 U-20 FIFA World Cup Golden Ball and is regarded as a highly skilled dribbler.

Kang-In Lee has signed with Parc des Princes till 2028, and fans will expect him to feature in more games. Since PSG is still adapting to its new team permutations, the club will strive to use Lee consistently as soon as possible. PSG will resume its season on Friday against Strasbourg, after which they will head home for a Champions League game against 7-time Champions AC Milan on Wednesday.
