Real Madrid has been pursuing Kylian Mbappe for a long time. Even after making multiple efforts to land the French striker at Santiago Bernabeu, they haven’t been able to make much progress. Now, looking into other options this year, treble winner Erling Haaland has come across another major prospect for the role. However, their patience might be repaid as they are presented with a chance to make both players their marquee signings next year.

An icing on the cake for Florentino Perez as Erling Haaland has rejected to extend his contract with Manchester City. All cards seem to be falling in place as the La Liga giants await for the upcoming season.

Real Madrid was caught off guard after Karim Benzema made a shock exit to Al Ittihad in the summer transfer window. Los Blancos, in an attempt to fill the vacant role, signed Joselu on loan from Espanyol. Luckily, the team hasn’t been caught under the tire, as Jude Bellingham has been performing exceptionally well. However, there needs to be a permanent solution for the long-term project. As per a report by Diario AS, Los Blancos has enough funds and strategies to fix their shortcomings.

Backing on a good sporting model and managing financial aspects well, the team has accumulated $128 million in cash and has unused credit worth around $265 million. Additionally, they’ve cut back on their personal expenses by $78 million, creating enough space and funds to bring in the duo next year.

On an interesting note, things can go wild if Mbappe doesn’t renew his contract with PSG beyond 2024. This would further ease the signing of the PSG forward and reduce the hassle for Los Blancos by not having to go into a negotiation war with the Ligue 1 giants. However, PSG will leave no stone unturned in creating more chaos and uncertainty for Florentino Perez.

With special release clauses intact until 2025, Haaland remains a prime target for clubs despite City’s efforts to secure his long-term commitment. Haaland refrains from signing an extension as he wishes to keep his options open. This stance not only safeguards his autonomy but also fuels speculation about potential moves as top clubs eye the prolific striker. Real Madrid will keep monitoring the situation and are sure to leap on the Haaland bandwagon if any opportunity arises. Any take? Share your thoughts in the comment below.
