Paris Saint Germain scraped in a last-minute penalty to draw the game. This is despite them having 31 shots on goal in the whole game. In the post-match presser, Kylian Mbappe expressed, “In a Champions League match, you can’t have so many opportunities and not score. It’s not the structure or the organization. It’s us, the players, we have to be more clinical. I had opportunities to score and I have to score, that’s clear. Everyone who had eyes saw that we dominated”, as compiled by RMC Sport.
Newcastle United dominated initially. It paid off as they took the lead through star striker Alexander Isak in the 24th minute. However, it was one-way traffic after the goal. Kylian Mbappe showed his nerve and all his experience to score in the 90+8th minute.
