Fans react to Kylian Mbappe and Lionel Messi breaking records at age 24

Fans took to Twitter to voice their opinions, and one fan explained how Mbappe should be proud of his accomplishments and that he would probably become the next GOAT.

However, he pointed out how Messi broke the record in a far more competitive league than Ligue 1. The fan stated, “Mbappe for sure the next goat! But we can’t not acknowledge the fact that Messi achieved this in la liga, when la liga was truly dangerous.”

If you ask the soccer community, he probably has a point. It was a time when Real Madrid won the league by 100 points despite Barca’s tiki-taka exploits. Messi scored 50 goals that season, but Ronaldo backed himself with 46. In addition, Atletico Madrid’s Radamel Falcao scored 24 as Karim Benzema, and Gonzalo Higuain went on a goal-scoring spree. Most fans pointed out this in their tweets.

One fan stated, “Hardly a comparison given the competition Messi had to face at Barca to beat the record.” Likewise, another fan pointed out, “Respect for Mbappe but it was way easier for him to break the record due to the fact that psg never had the same level of “legends” or goal-scorers like Barca did.” There is light at the end of the tunnel, and some fans hyped Mbappe’s achievements.

Mbappe probably becomes the GOAT for future generations!

One fan commented in favor of the speedy Frenchman and explained how he is a better version of every Messi. The fan stated, “Mbappe at 24 is better than any version of Messi.” The 2018 World Cup final brought back so many memories as Mbappe lifted it when he was just 19. A fan commented, “Greatness…… That doesn’t change the fact that mbappe won the WC at age 19 before Pessi does, I come in peace.”
