Lionel Messi has enjoyed a fair share of success throughout his soccer career. Ever since his transfer to PSG, things have become even better for the legendary player. The attacker recently added a star to his international career after winning the prestigious 2022 FIFA World Cup.

The Argentine also added yet another award to his trophy cabinet by winning the FIFA The Best award last week. It seems Messi is desperate to win even more, especially for his new club.

Lionel Messi addresses life in Paris

Everyone thought Lionel Messi was a one-club man, but the 35-year-old proved everyone wrong after he made a stunning switch to the French capital. Since then, the attacker has been a helping hand for the Ligue 1 giants.

However, the attacker has opened up about his life in a new place. “The truth is I feel great. The first year I had a hard time adapting to Paris for different reasons” said Messi.

The attacker may have struggled in his first season, scoring just six times and providing 14 assists in Ligue 1. However, he has started this season on a high note, thus having 13 goals and 12 assists to his name.

“This season I started differently, with a lot of enthusiasm, a lot of desire. [I’m] more comfortable with the club, the city, and everything that Paris means.”

La Pulga is determined to clinch success for the Parisians. Currently, they are sitting comfortably at the top, 11 points clear of Marseille. However, things are looking a bit shaky in the Champions League.

Christophe Galtier’s side hosted Bayern in the first leg of the semi-finals and lost the match by a single goal. Nevertheless, they’ll be looking to get back on the Bavarians in the second leg as they fly to Germany on Thursday.

Huge blow for MLS and David Beckham

While Messi is tailoring his ways to get comfortable in the French capital, it might be a huge blow for his transfer. Few clubs in the MLS, including David Beckham’s Inter Miami, were interested in acquiring his services.

With Messi starting to like his stay in Paris, it will be difficult for the interested parties to lure him away from Parc des Princes. Messi’s current contract with PSG is set to expire this year. However, Nasser Al-Khelaifi will be looking to extend his stay by offering him a bumper contract.
