The person in the limelight is none other than Columbian soccer star James Rodriguez. Currently, the club-less soccer veteran has been enjoying his time away from the turf. But he has spent some of his prime years as a player at Real Madrid. Without a doubt, he has played and faced some of the finest talents of the game. But at the age of 31, he might just be looking to move on from the game.

Currently vacationing, the former Everton star recently spoke about the infamous Shakira – Pique controversy. He first commented on the singer. Rodriguez said, “She has left Colombia on a high”, as compiled by RCN Radio and translated by Google Translate. In context to his former rival, he said, “With Piqué I have shared several times, so I cannot speak badly of him”.

“For me, he is a good person. There are a lot of people who do, because of what happened. But for me, they are good people.” He then put forward his thoughts on the diss track controversy. “I listened to them a little, but no, I did not like them very much. No, they didn’t plot me, women did, I didn’t.” Surprisingly, he described Shakira’s diss tracks to be too ‘hard’.

He simply disagreed with the concept of composing a diss track. He mentioned that everything between them could be fixed internally. Considering their young children, he claimed that diss track controversy was uncalled for.

Apart from that, the soccer veteran also openly expressed his interest in playing in the Kings League some months ago.

Los Troncos’ President continued, “James Rodríguez told him ‘Ha-ha, what’s up, when I’m 38 years old I’ll go there’”. Currently, the second season of the Kings League and the inaugural season of the Queens League are going on. While the league is sliding on a slight downward slope in terms of viewership, Sergio Aguero recently assured the fanbase of Rodriguez’s arrival in the league at some point in the future.
