But, the Seleção Canarinha legend Paulo Silas has revealed in an interview that Argentinian captain Lionel Messi divided the country after the World Cup win.

He further said,” Half of Brazil was rooting for Argentina in the World Cup because of Messi.”

Both of them during their stints formed a great relationship with Lionel Messi at Barcelona. Neymar was a part of the famous MSN partnership with the Argentinian and Luis Suarez.
