After his back-to-back goal-scoring streak, Mbappe attended yesterday’s Ballon d’Or ceremony in Paris as one of the favorites along with Lionel Messi and Erling Haaland. On the biggest night of soccer accolades, Mbappe was asked by a Spanish journalist if he was joining Real Madrid in 2024. The forward, however, chose to remain silent and smirked while raising his eyebrows.

The World Cup runner-up came 3rd in the Ballon d’Or ranking after Lionel Messi and Erling Haaland. While walking out of the ceremony, Mbappe just nodded his head vertically with a smile. Notably, Mbappe has already reserved a house in Madrid as per reports.

Los Blancos fans have for long remained excited about the Frenchman’s arrival at the club. But in August, Real Madrid chose to drop out for that particular window as PSG set a whopping $272 million price tag on the French striker.

Having already made a big-money move for Jude Bellingham, who is currently on top of La Liga’s scoring charts, Carlo Ancelotti didn’t hesitate to laugh the price off. Notably, the FIFA World Cup Golden Boot winner has not yet extended his contract at Parc de Princes. And as things stand, he could leave PSG as a free agent once his contract expires next year.
