Daniel is a massive name in Portugal. The singer featured in the national TV program Factor X and the fourth season of Voice of Portugal. He won the Voice of Portugal’s fourth season in 2017. Daniel also won the Best Portuguese Act at the 2019 MTV Europe Music Awards. It was sufficient for the Portuguese songwriter to come into the limelight.

In 2020, he got an invitation to perform at Ronaldo’s private party. He didn’t charge anything during the 2020 performance. And why would he? It was a significant opportunity for him to showcase his talent in front of some massive names. He recently revealed another instance where Al Nassr forward’s team again contacted him for the performance at a party. But this time, Daniel asked for compensation.

However, Ronaldo’s team rejected it and hired someone else. Daniel recently spoke about it to Blitz’s Ponto Emissor. He said, “They ended up saying that it wasn’t worth paying the amount because it was an event for a few people.” Meanwhile, despite this, he wasn’t disappointed with Ronaldo and feels the five-time Ballon d’Or winner might not even know what has happened.

Reaction to Daniel’s revelation

The TVI Extra panelists took up the issue on Wednesday. However, they disagree with Daniel’s comment that Ronaldo might not know the situation. One of the panelists, Helena Elizabeth, said, “If there’s anyone who can afford it, it’s Cristiano Ronaldo. For free, even the dogs don’t go hunting. I also don’t work with tassel. I don’t believe Cristiano is aware of it.”
